Please read the following notice which explains how Universal Beijing Resort (as defined under Terms of Service, hereinafter referred to as “UBR”) collect, use, disclose and transfer the personal information that you provide to us on this recruiting section of this Site. Our service provider, Connect Entertainment Pty, Ltd, helps us to provide support to this recruiting section and related services.  For the convenience of reading our service Provider and UBR are collectively referred as “we”, “us” or “ours” hereunder.

When you use this recruiting section, please carefully read and fully comprehend this Privacy Notice, and only use this recruiting section upon full acknowledgement and acceptance of this Privacy Notice. Your use of this recruiting section means you have fully acknowledged and accepted this Privacy Notice. In the event you are an agent using this recruiting section on behalf of your client, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf such client, and that such client has granted their permission for you to provide their information to us through this Site, in accordance with this Privacy Notice and all policies referenced herein.

From time to time we may update this Privacy Notice.  We will notify you by posting a revised version of this Privacy Notice online, and we may also notify you by other means. You should check the recruiting section of this Site periodically for updates. We may further provide the notice in a more remarkable manner (including sending the notice via email to further identify the changes of this Privacy Notice).

The date at the top of the Privacy Notice tells you when it was last updated. Any changes to this Privacy Notice will become effective when the revised Privacy Notice is posted. Information you provide to us

To access certain areas of this recruiting section, you will need to register with us.  During the registration process you will be asked to submit below personal information about yourself:

  • Gender

  • Height (in cm)

  • Language (fluency in Mandarin)

  • Have you worked for any Universal Parks and Resorts before?

  • Agent Name

  • Showreel 

In addition, we may also collect the above personal information from you when you correspond with us (for example, we may send you emails to notify you about our reception of your application for a certain position and progress of such application, details for attending interview, your offer letter and/or on-boarding matters, etc.). All the above personal information is necessary for your use of this recruiting section, you hereby expressly agree and voluntarily provide us your above personal information. 

If you choose to interact with this recruiting section via a social media platform or other third-party service, we will collect the information you have provided to us through those third-parties, in addition to the aforementioned personal information, such as friend list, photo, age, location, birthday, current city, and the people/sites you follow, your username of those third-parties’ websites, and you hereby expressively agree we can collect the information for aforesaid purpose.  

How we use the information we collect from you

We will use it to:

  • manage and maintain our talent database;

  • deal with your enquiries and requests;

  • send service related communications, including job opportunities and administrative messages such as change of password;

  • announce new HR services and events relating to us in accordance with your communications preferences;

  • conduct market research so that we can continuously improve the services we provide to our candidates and employees;

  • understand how the recruiting site is used so that we can continuously improve the service of the recruiting section of this Site;

  • protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights, including use in connection with legal claims (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation), compliance, regulatory, auditing, investigative and compliance reporting purposes;

  • where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as confirm that you are eligible to work under applicable immigration laws.

Sharing your information

We may share your information to following parties.  Except to the following parties, we will not sell or share your personal information (except for the de-identified information) with anyone without your prior written consent:

  • Related Companies:  UBR Parties (as defined under Terms of Service), Comcast Corporation and its affiliate, Comcast Cable, to help better tailor services, products, marketing, and advertising to you.

  • Service providers that perform certain business-related functions on our behalf: including research and analytics, website hosting/maintaining/operating, casting management, transaction fulfillment, processing database maintenance, fraud prevention, technology services and platforms, identity management and acquisition and conversion services.

  • De-identified Information.  We may share information about your de-identified and not re-identifiable information, with third parties so they may better personalize your experience with them and the offers they send you.

  • Other Users and Search Engines: For the purpose of recruitment, you may provide certain information including your name, photo, and other information to create an account (“Account Profile”). Some information in your Account Profile may be available publicly to our recruiting staff.  When we display your user submissions, they will be identified by information in your Account Profile. We hereby are entitled to distribute user submissions which you have chosen to publish or de-identified and not re-identifiable information after processing to third parties.

  • Law Enforcement Agencies, Regulators, Content Protection Organizations, Anti-fraud Coalitions and other groups to:

  • protect our legal rights, privacy or safety, and that of UBR Parties, our employees, agents, contractors, or other individuals;

  • protect the safety and security of visitors to the UBR Services or other properties;

  • protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes;

  • respond to inquiries or requests from government, regulatory, law enforcement, or public authorities;

  • permit us to pursue available remedies, commence, participate in, or defend litigation, or limit the damages that we may sustain;

  • comply with the law including any legal process; or

  • enforce applicable Terms of Service.

With regard to any companies, organizations or individuals with which we may share personal information, we will sign strict confidentiality agreement with them, under which we will require them to follow our declaration, this Privacy Notice, the Privacy Policy and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures in handling personal information.

Pre-employment screening

Our employees are part of a global family working in a fair, open and trusted environment. It is important for us to ensure that new employees joining us have a strong commitment to our shared values.

We therefore reserve the right to ask all candidates in the final stages of recruitment to undergo a pre-employment screening. Our approach to pre-employment screening is based on the principles of transparency, mutual respect and is conducted in line with all applicable regulations.

Our service provider is responsible for hosting and maintaining this Site and will use industry standard safeguard measures to maintain procedural, technical, and physical safeguards for this recruiting section to help protect against loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.  Our service provider will protect the safety of this Site and its systems and use reasonable measures for data control. . Furthermore, our service provider and UBR agree to take any reasonable and feasible measures to protect your personal information when we access it, for example, we limit access to your personal information to employees who has reasonable business needs to access it. These safeguards vary depending upon the sensitivity of the information we collect and store. Please be aware that no security solutions are infallible.

Our service provider that hosts and maintains this Site has its headquarter in Australia. Our service provider may transfer your information to UBR, that has its headquarter in the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”). UBR may transfer your information to its Related Companies, service providers, and other third parties located outside of your country of residence, including in the PRC. This is necessary to schedule any on-site interviews, create offers for employment and for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice and the Privacy Policy.  Data privacy laws vary from country to country and may not be equivalent to, or as protective as, the laws in your home country.  We take steps to ensure that reasonable safeguards are in place with aim to ensure an appropriate level of protection for your information, in accordance with applicable law. These measures include data transfer agreements. By providing us with your information, you acknowledge any such transfer, storage or use.

How to edit, delete or access your personal information

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information that we hold about you in our records, to correct any inaccuracies and to update any out-of-date information.  If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please write to us at the address listed below.
